MA, RCC

I consider coming alongside people of all ages and in all circumstances, a privilege. One’s life experiences are sacred and should be honored with care and compassion. I believe people ultimately strive for love and belonging, and that when we find ourselves hurting, it’s because of a disconnect in our lives. Taking time to explore our experiences and reach ahead for new ground can be a healing journey. My aim as a therapist is to help facilitate that growth process based on each person’s goals. I find deep joy in seeing people discover their own truths and thrive in life.

I have a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology and am a Registered Clinical Counsellor. I have worked in the mental health field, primarily with children, adolescents and parents/caregivers, for over 20 years. I am a licensed provider of a children of divorce program, the Bringing Baby Home program, and have taught courses on parenting, couples communication and childhood trauma & grief.

I have personal life experiences associated with caregiving for elderly parents, grief and loss, parenting two daughters who joined our family through open transracial adoption, having children with learning and sensory integration challenges, and navigating the muddy waters of children’s mental health resources in our province. Helping families become and belong is where my heart lies.

I offer evidence-based treatment for anxiety, depression, relationship issues, grief and loss, parenting and a variety of life transitions. I provide Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, pre-marital counselling, couples communication skills,  Narrative therapy, family therapy, Solution-focused therapy, caregiver support and Psychoeducation groups. I accept ICBC clients. I offer virtual counselling services to clients unable to come into the office, using a privacy law compliant video calling program.

I also offer clinical supervision and consultation and I am available for speaking engagements and workshop facilitation.
