I am passionate about people and the discovery of what makes us human. I believe that we have a natural desire and ability to grow, but often require the support of one another to become unstuck and heal. This has been my experience, and the experience of those I have had the privilege to work with. I strive to create meaningful relationships with my clients built on safety, trust, and hope, where people feel accepted and challenged to grow.
I hold a Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology and I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) and Certified Canadian Counsellor (CCC) in good standing with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC) and the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). As a counsellor, I maintain an integrative approach, drawing from theories of trauma, attachment, and family/community systems. However, I tailor my approach to the specific goals and strengths of each individual client. Additionally, I am trained in Observed and Experiential Integration (OEI) and Lifespan Integration (LI) – both of which are body-based trauma processing therapies.
In practice, I predominantly work with teens and adults in the following areas: Anxiety, panic attacks, depression, suicidal thoughts, early childhood relational trauma (abuse, neglect, and/or abandonment), post-traumatic stress (PTSD), grief and loss, infertility, behavioural addictions (e.g., pornography, gaming, stress eating), stress and burnout, and life transitions.
I offer 50 minute sessions for $120 (tax inclusive), and 90 minute sessions for $180. Session fees are payable by cash, cheque, e-transfer (e-transfers must be received prior to the session), or credit. My services are often covered by extended medical benefits (please confirm this with your benefits provider). In addition I am a provider with ICBC.
