Breath of Fresh Air

On a personal level, this holiday season brought a mixture of the full gamut of human experience. The warm and cozy cuddles on the couch, the sweet of hot chocolate after ice skating, the giggles of Christmas morning...and the gut wrenching tears of loss, the anguish of grief, the tangle of worry and uncertainty...and so much in between. As I write this, the heart swelling and heart aching co-exist and share space, the tears of joy and sadness both brim on the edge.
Kermit, in A Muppet's Christmas Carol says, "That is the way of it" and he's right. We are all, of it. We feel all of it. And as I look at January 1st of a new year, I find that it feels like taking a breath of fresh air after being in the stuffy indoors too long. It offers a new mixture of carrying what has been but with the unknown of what could come next - the promise that nothing is forever, just breathe.
I don't know how this new year is finding you, but I hope you'll join me in finding space within it to inhale and exhale. To expand. To find freshness and newness even as you continue to carry along your luggage of living.
Wishing you refreshment and permission for the fullness of all of it,
~ Lindsay
