MCP, RCC

I believe we are stronger together. My counselling practice is committed to helping you heal from past experiences and develop the mental resiliency to handle future events. I aim to provide a reflective and encouraging space where you can process difficult experiences and understand what has happened to you. I also want to provide you with the tools to self-manage and feel confident to handle what life throws at you. I operate from a trauma informed lens and utilize different modalities including parts work, attachment theory, Lifespan Integration, Observed Experiential Integration, Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and cognitive behavioural therapy, however I integrate tools from various therapeutic modalities that would be fitting and useful to you.

I have a Bachelors degree in Criminology and a Masters degree Counselling Psychology. I have over a decade of experience working 1 on 1 with individuals as well as lived experience as a front-line worker who has suffered through an operational stress injury and burnout. I spent a number of years working on the front lines on the Downtown Eastside and understand the difficulties in navigating demanding and high stress work environments.

My areas of focus include: depression, anxiety, self-esteem, PTSD, attachment, grief and loss, trauma, post-traumatic growth, operational stress injuries, moral injuries and vicarious trauma/burnout. I have a special interest in working with first responders and front-line workers because of my own lived experience and previous career.

I am an approved provider with the Crime Victims Assistance Program (CVAP), and with ICBC. I offer a free, initial 15-minute consultation via phone or email correspondence to allow you to better determine if we are a good fit. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or would like more details about my background or to book a session.
