Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, depressed, burnt out, or you are seeking personal growth, together we can identify your barriers and create the change you desire. I am passionate about empowering you to live your most authentic life where your needs are met, you feel fulfilled, and allow yourself to create the ability to flourish in your life. While respecting that you are the expert of your own life, I will support you in your healing journey by providing you with the guidance and tools necessary in order to navigate through your challenges and work towards your individual goals. I believe in the importance of hearing your life story and strive to create a safe, non-judgemental and empathetic space.
Having struggled with chronic pain for many years, it was through my own counselling journey I was able to gain awareness of how this impacted not only my day-to-day life but more importantly my overall wellbeing. It was evident that a strong therapeutic relationship with my counsellor guided my success in learning new ways of coping with my pain and therefore to live my best self, while exercising self-compassion.
I have a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. I have over 15 years of experience working with clients struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, and addiction. I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC).
My therapeutic approach includes a combination of evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution focused, somatic therapy and Mindfulness.
I am passionate about working with teens and adults. My areas of expertise include helping those with anxiety, depression, anger, substance use, chronic pain, life transitions and personal growth, LGBTQIA+ related issues, work related stress, compassion fatigue/burn-out, and self-worth.
I provide in-person as well as online sessions.
Contact me to schedule a free 15-minute consultation where I can answer any questions you may have, explain what the therapy process looks like, and what to expect in the first session. I look forward to connecting with you and walking alongside you during your therapeutic journey.
